Every year, the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency recognizes and honors community members and organization for their excellent contribution in the environment for Navajo Nation in these categories:
* Navajo Nation Chapter (one from each agency)
* Private Company
* Federal, State, or County government
* Individual Citizen
* Grass Root organization
The Navajo EPA Confrence is held each year to allow increased accessibility of NNEPA programs to the Navajo communities and to provide outreach to Navajo people throughout Dine' tah (Navajoland).
The conference planning committee meets a few times a month to plan for the fifth annual environmental conference. Previous conferences include: March 2004 , April 2005, April 2006, and April 2007.
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available. This is a free conference except for information booth. All events will take place at the conference site (Navajo Nation Museum, Library, & Visitor Center-Window Rock, AZ.)
