
Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency (NNEPA)/Air Quality Control-Operating Permit Program
The Navajo Environmental Protection Agency (NNEPA), Navajo Nation Air Quality Control Program (NNAQCP), Operating Permit Program has been accepting written comments on the renewal of Part 71 Air Operating Permit, for Transwestern Pipeline Company, 4001 Indian School Rd., Suite #250, Albuquerque, NM. 87110 for: a) Leupp Compressor Station #3 & b) Compressor Station #4 - Klagetoh.
The Leupp Compressor Station #3 is located 8 miles east of Leupp in Coconino County, AZ. on Navajo Nation. The Klagetoh Compressor Station #4 is located 10 miles northeast of Klagetoh in Apache County, AZ. on Navajo Nation.
Written comments, written requests for a public hearing or written requests for notification of the final decision regarding this permit action were being submitted to the Environmental Program Supervisor at NNEPA, Air Quality Control Program, Operating Permit Program, Public Participation Group, P. O. Box 529, Fort Defiance, AZ. 86504.
Deadline for written comments and/or written requests was set for 12:30p.m., (July 15, 2005). Written comments will be considered prior to a final permit decision.
If NNEPA finds a significant degree of public interest, a public hearing will be held. NNEPA will send notification of the final permit decision to the applicant and to each person who has submitted written comments or a written request for notification of the final decision.
The application, proposed air permit, and statement of basis are available for review at the NNEPA, Air Quality Control Program office in Fort Defiance, AZ. 86504. Viewing hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).
